Rob9-16 | Summer Holidays – Project X

From 29 June to 24 July, Rob9-16 is organising the Summer Holidays – Project X programme, featuring a range of activities that combine learning with fun.

Each week brings a different challenge, but the main goal remains the same: to provide a meaningful and engaging summer holiday experience for young people aged 9 to 16.

Project X: Total Command

29 June to 3 July 2026

Build and program a Wi-Fi remote-controlled robotic car.

Throughout the week, participants will develop a vehicle that can be controlled via smartphone or computer, exploring electronics, programming and system communication.
The experience culminates in a final obstacle-course competition.

Project X: Secret Code

6 to 10 July 2026

Build a smart safe with sensors, alarms and detection systems.

Participants will develop a complete security system, combining motion sensors, light sensors and remote communication.
At the end of the week, teams will test their systems in a challenge where other groups attempt to overcome the defences they created.
